Former Employee - Nov 1, 2024

I did 2 days videos and tests the computer kept freezing up so I’d have to skip to ?’s, first day out I twisted or tore something I my knee told my trainer we agreed I’d go home ice it and out heat on it the next day I could barely walk I told the yard manager he had the main office call, the trainer denied me telling him or any knowledge of my knee injury, the main office basically without saying it called me a liar, they sent me a list of Drs but tell me they have to investigate and might not pay for the Dr visit. I should have known from the beginning when I had to pay for my own MVR that they would be this way, also when signing the paperwork it clearly states if your not hired they will charge for the drug screen and physical.

They will work with you on your time. They will always give you time off. They pay fantastic. The insurance is good it’s a little pricey, but it is good for.

Pros

Nice tractors, good pay good insurance and for the most part happy people

Cons

There are no cons. You just have to stand up for yourself and don’t let anyone walk on you.

TankStar

I made $65K working for Tankstar and ran coast to coast hauling liquid and dry bulk.
Schwerman division.

They sent me to tanker school in Holly Hill,SC
I didn't like management where I was but stayed because the paychecks were good. Some drivers there were making $72K every year running on paper logs. Once they went to Elogs it worked out more fairly for the rest of us.
We hauled some loads for Rodgers and from what I could tell, Rodgers was much better than Schwerman.
