This company and union that is ran p-diddy style. These guys are always building obstacles that will affect your payday. Despicable with no kind of honor. I can't see how a family man on the "straight" and narrow can make it here. Its not an incredibly hard job but these losers make it that way. You're not allowed to simply mind your business, work be productive and go home to your family. So much pettiness and fickle b.s. accounts got lost due to stupid perv management running away drivers.

Pros

Few to none

Cons

Tons and tons

The culture is toxic. Management takes no responsibility for their self inflicted screw ups. Instead of drivers working together for the good of the company. They've created a culture of animosity and distrust. Customers have walked away because of corporate arrogance. Drivers have tried to speak up and let management know how Customers have felt. They just didn't care !!! I have over 20yrs of driving experience and I have never worked for a company that was so arrogant and clueless at the corporate level !!!

Pros

None. Don't come here

Cons

Don't come it's a mess.

Midland has a majority of black drivers. Those drivers carry the company. Mdv may be manipulative and stupid but is not completely stupid. There are white drivers maybe never more than 5 at a time. They are usually older and have fewer options. This is not by accident or coincidence. the ones with options quit because this company wants weak susceptible economic slaves and those drivers with options aren't having it and quit . The black drivers are so happy with the bare minimum and unfortunately they think they are making bank. The company is not interested in fairness and treating people with respect so with the drivers who stay it's a match made in heaven. A lot of the drivers who have been there for a long time are extremely weak minded and accept poor rations. Either you have a decrepit mind and you think in small fractions or you will have problems here. If the management thinks you have too much dignity they will attempt to bring you down a few notches. No You can't keep your pride or dignity if you work here.

Pros

Not much

Cons

A lot

Management does not understand the job. They think being abrasive is part of being a manager. It lead to feelings of undervaluation, decreased motivation, and reduced job satisfaction, ultimately impacting productivity and morale within the organization. The union reps go into the office and stab the drivers in the back on top of all of this. They are no help at all. This job is so bad for your mental health. So many people quit here in a hurry. I think they are the smart ones. this isnt a big city like atlanta where do they keep pulling drivers from?

Pros

Runs are two days out and back to the warehouse.. you get a half day to see your family and back to work the next day.

Cons

The half day is all they have thats a perk.

This company does any and everything they want to the drivers with impunity. Steal your money. Spy on you and violate your privacy, probe your social media accounts. Lie on you. they could care less about any labor or privacy laws. you mean absolutely nothing to these people. There is a union who is supposed to provide transparency and stop corruption. bulls#!+ the union is ran by pure grifters.. from the corrupt business agents to the currupt union reps in place at the company. They are raking in money from the drivers. Revenue that's it. You are on your own when dealing with those unethical garbage people. They pay companies to run surveys asking hey how are we treating you drivers?? It's actually to collect data to develop better manipulation tactics. The problem with lying and lying is that the people eventually catch on and there always has to be a massive firing. the only thing left after these events are the hand full of old spinless bootlickers that have been there and usually take any abuses. They are the eyes and ears of the abusers. Part of the toxic culture. You can scream 2+2 isn't 4 all you want but it won't stop the majority from adding things up and coming up with the right answer.. Drivers Keep it moving or stop in and potentially harm yourself and your family's future with this stumbling block of a company. I promise you these people are straight from ####.

Pros

If you are currently stupid..You will learn how to protect your neck. You will learn to set healthier boundaries with companies

Cons

You are thrown to the wolves.

what do yall know about Spartan nash/mdv?

That's true. I worked for Spartan/Nash. I made most deliveries to Dollar General Plus stores and Dollar General Market stores. Go out. Stay in a motel. Back the next day. Except I was at 44cpm and 18 a stop/hour. They even paid for my meals breakfast and dinner while I was gone. It's not hard work once you get use to it. I had a Missouri Arkansas Tennessee run. 12 stops with milk back haul from Nashville. They'll give you an electric jack for your stops. 65k a year or more

MDV/Nash Finch

This is the worst place to deliver. They charge 300.00 to unload and it has taken them over 3 hours to do it. It's crazy. They could care less about the driver sitting outside, waiting to be unloaded so he/she can head to their next pickup.

The MDV/ Nash Finch in Columbus GA are some of the rudest, slowest, and very expensive place to unload. I tried to deliver there awhile back and was told to come back the next day because they were overbooked on deliveries
