you'll make money, drive low spec slow macks, dispatch is easy to work with, run midwest , truly 90% drop and hook, they have some really weird policies, but its all designed to pinch pennies so they can pay drivers more, the insurance is garbage, no retirement plan, no paid vacation

Over all Great Company to work for. Hometime is steady, and my choice. Dispatch is easy to work with. and pretty agreeable its truly a non forced board.

I currently drive for Sharkey, and have for over ten years now. I was skeptical about the company at first with no cost health insurance. But no weekly premiums paid by me means my family gets to keep more of what I make. I am home on weekends and enjoy the life my family is living.

Pros

New Mack Anthems are rolling in. Our equipment is well maintained and I love it here.

Really don’t have any gripes.

They have a lot of jobs if you live in the Midwest to east. They have flatbed,van,and reffers. No force dispatch. Your choice of hometime and pay. Mileage or percent.

I did a year with Core Carrier when I started out. One of Sharkey's sister companies. Nothing fancy. I never heard of a fish run. Did St Joe, Mo to Chambersburg, PA a lot. It was their longest run I ever had.

I'd keep searching. Like I said, nothing special. Here's my six month and one year review:

If I went company again, I'd focus on accessory pay and equipment. If someone offered me .50 CPM, good detention, layover, and breakdown pay. And had a new Volvo 780 or something else big, nice, and quiet, with auto tranny, diesel APU, inverter, fridge/freezer and microwave already installed. I'd sell my truck and run whatever they wanted.

They offer free Heath insurance for family. Tell me home weekends and 1000-1250 week gross. Anyone got any info
on them. I know they run Mack's from the dinosaur age but is the money there? I'm tired of living on road and home weekends sounds nice
