Been at Severs for several years now, as my father was also employed here but is not anymore due to health reasons. Severs trucking has been the best driving job I could ever have asked for. Other comments posted about them are true very easy to make 100k+ a year. Family company better ran than I have seen anywhere. To grow in this economy is not easy. Every year since I been here we always get some kind of bonus or raise. Miles are very easy to get and home time is good. They understand me having little little kids at home they mean world to me so I do not miss important things ever. When I go into office if brothers/ owners are down stairs they always stop off to see how I am as well as all the office. Trucks are very nice and equipment is always looked over. All the years I been here knock on wood I've never been on a hook. But the one thing that sticks out to me about severs trucking that I have never felt working at any other job is they actually appreciate you and care about you. They will go above and beyond to help you. Best move I ever made was to work here. Dispatch is very knowledgeable, and quick to keep you rolling and getting you home. They are nice and also don't brush you off like you don't matter. Mostly pull tanks and hoppers, just with anything you may have to sit but they always pay detention. Brand new wash, shop, and office/ driver lounge its so nice!!! Wash is state of the art.
Pros
Money

Cons

I started with severs trucking in 2020 and I am currently still employed by them and plan to stay here for the rest of my trucking career. In 2020 the company only had 15 units….skip to now and we are over 60 units. My experience at severs had been nothing but amazing you truly are not a number at this company! In a economy that has been in a downturn with alot of company’s going out of business or selling out here at severs we have done the opposite and grown by 45ish units in the time frame that I’ve been here. Severs also just built a beautiful new facility that houses our shop bays and our wash bays with shower rooms and a lounge and kitchen with the driver in mind when staying overnight at our yard. I currently am in my mid thirty’s and have 2 little girls and am married so pay and home time like most drivers are at the top of the list of the things that are important. I made this year over six figures with being home 3 nights a week every week. If u want to be home for your 34 and voice that to our wonderful dispatch team they make it work for you and if you you want to stay out on the road and run dispatch will make that work for u as well. Here at severs also with being able to run the miles you want they also pay you if u are sitting and as a driver there is nothing worse than sitting somewhere waiting to load or get unloaded and not getting paid…currently we give the customer two hours to get to us and either get loaded or unloaded after that you are on the clock getting paid $25 a hour during the week and $50 a hour on the weekend. They also pay for the drivers insurance along with starting drivers out at I believe at this moment 62cpm and then quarterly bonuses of 4pm for all miles driven in that quarter! Not many companies are starting off company drivers at that amount of money from speaking to other driver out there. Every time I have needed off I’ve never been denied. The best way to describe severs is with this story I will leave you with I had a surgery back in 2021 was out of work for two months I couldn’t work while I was out they still paid my insurance on my wife and two little girls and when I came back I owed them around $1500 and when I received my first paycheck coming back I was worried I wasn’t going to have one because I owed them money……I received my full paycheck with no money taken out I called up one the severs brothers who run the company and and told them they made a mistake that I owed them money. To my surprise they told me I owed them nothing to just keep up the good work and thank you for being a great driver for them If that story doesn’t tell you about the character of this company I don’t know what would. They do not micro manage you here either as long as you are doing what you are supposed to and can be reliable if that is the case this is the best place for you.
Pros
Brand new equipment great dispatch team the miles you want and amazing home time
Cons
Wish I would have found them sooner
