Merrell Transport outta Tulsa, OK needs to be avoided like the plague. Whether your a company driver or an owner op. I spent 4 of the last 5 years at this place. Last 6months leasing a trk. While a lease op, I was required to have all maintenence done by their shop or an accredited shop on road. Their maintenance SUCKS ###. The shop half-###' everything. I had an issue where I went thru 3 fanblades in a year. I told the shop that the motor needed new motor mount bushings up front. They swore up & down that that didn't have jack to do with fanblades being damaged. So the mechanic, without my knowledge the mechanic cut 1" off every blade on a new fanblade while trk was in for maintenence. I ended up replacing the motor mount bushings myself. The fan that the mechanic cut started to come apart shortly after I replaced bushings. I decided it was time to move on before I found myself on the side of the road with a major headache.

Pros

None, not a damn one. Dispatch runs the drivers like a bunch of mules. A driver literally has to take matters into their own hands in regards to time off. I had a request off, so I could goto dentist. Dispatch literally tried dispatching me prior to me leaving dentist, not knowing whether or not I was gonna be fit to be behind the wheel. I wasn't fit to be behind the wheel & they got pissed. My revenue started declining towards starvation. The company won't provide rate info & anytime ya ask wha

Cons

Way to many to list. Ownership, dispatch, maintenance. It's all 1 big #### show. The owner gives drivers the feelin that he cares, when in actual reality, he's always lookin for ways to benefit him. I have my hazmat endorsement. I was put on the hazmat side of company. I aired my concerns about being put into that division. This guy literally told me that if I didn't do hazmat beings I had endorsement that I didn't have a job.
