Former Employee

I am a former employee at Grasshopper Trans & this company failed to reimburse me my Escroll of $1,000.00. Mike blatantly told me they are not giving me my money because I left their company which is my right to do so & this conduct does violate labor laws. So truckers beware with this company they will rob you of money you worked for & earned with disregard of the laws that are in place to prevent such conduct. My name is Michael Gonzalez & I will be seeking legal retribution against Grasshopper Transportation & I’m not scared to say who I am because I want them & everyone to know that I am going to stand up for my rights as an American citizen. Don’t be a victim to the corrupt conduct of big business know your rights contact US Department of Labor if you are also a victim of this company’s abusive conduct.

It's a great company if you are looking to make real money as a Company Driver. You will make $1800 - $2500 weekly, but you have to be willing to work-drive(don't turn loads down). Trucks are maintained, dispatch team are great men and woman. Yes the dispatch and operation is located in Eastern Europe. Grass Grasshopper is in Chicago, IL. Grasshopper Trans is and works hard in being a very honest trucking company. Compare to some other Chicago companies who are huge scammers and only talk a big game, and show you smoky mirrors. Grasshopper does what they say. You want miles=$$$$$. You run 3 weeks. Hometime is 7 days. Payroll is always on point and ontime every Friday.
Pros
Great company. Money, equipment and hometime is good!

Great company and management is on point. They don't smoke your mirrors like other trucking companies.
You must be willing to work(meaning drive the truck). You will make money here if you are not lazy! ***If you are a driver that starts at 7:00am and runs until 5:00pm***, Do Not Apply!! Stay local or go work as a regional driver in your local town!!
Now if you are looking to make $100,000 plus a year. Have no worries in running hard or running different hours(switching your sleep time around) you will make money and be very happy!
Owner is very loyal, management, Dispatchers work hard to make sure you (we) the drivers are happy financially and mentally!
Now, like any other trucking company no one is perfect or have brand new equipment always available for new drivers. But, Grasshopper, does make sure that the truck assign to you runs correctly and is safe!
Pros
Money $$$$$ is very good
My weekly average as a Company Driver $1950.00 - 2250.00 weekly.
Run 3wks hometime & 1 week hometime.
Cons
No negative feelings or issues!

I've been put into 7 different trucks that have broke down or not started. The company is a crazy mess and the shop is even worse. They do not care about their drivers
Pros
Home time is supposed to be a week. I've been stuck in broken down trucks so I haven't been able to get home
Cons
Worst place for respect and their equipment is garbage
