Worked from Advance Distribution in North Carolina. When you first apply they tell you how you will be making all this money. I made less with this company than any other company I worked for. You are constantly having to call them for a load if you can get one. I got tired of begging for work as I have a family to feed. You can't make any money there they only pay way below 50 cent a mile and you can't get any miles so calculate that up. On my days off which were supposed to be mine . I had to constantly call to see if they could find me something. DONT DO IT!!! I'm sure they have their favorites as who gets the miles and who doesnt
Cons
Dispatchers and management suck. They have no idea what they are doing. Communication with dispatchers sucked.

I can’t complain about the pay…. It’s all about the miles you put in every week. Vacation pay, sick days pay, 7 holiday pay, safety bonus pay, profit sharing pay in December….. best part … if taking a 34 in the road… you get paid $150 plus a free hotel room. They make sure you get home to take your 34. I was LTL which was very easy no touch freight. You can stay overnight at one of their warehouses to take a 10 hr break. Maintenance on their trucks was very well taken care of…. They made sure it was up to DOT standards. The only thing is you make sure to get your snow chains from their shop. If you are out there on the road and you need them, they won’t pay for it… they try to get you to pay for it out of your pocket. It’s free from the shop. The trucks are nice but govern at 67mph…. Follow the speed limit in each state. If you go over and too fast, they come down on you about your speeding. They monitor that from your peoplesnet. The only bad issue about this job is the dispatchers and management…. Be careful of them! It’s all politics with this company and them people in the office are looking to get you fired!! Do not trust them!!
Pros
Pay, trucks, work load, benefits.
Cons
Dispatchers and management. Too much politics in this company.
