Look at Cowboy trail in Nebraska. Town every 10-15 miles. In case that i'll extend my day to next town idea, and its a bad decision 45 minutes later it follows hwy 20 for most of it

Got everything packed and situated. I catch the shuttle van from St Charles to Clinton on Monday morning. It should be a fun week.

Katy Trail Day 1. I took the shuttle from St Charles to Clinton for $120. Rode from Clinton to Sedalia today. It was a little damp for most of the ride, and I was glad I had my 3” tires just floating on top when I’d see all the skinny tire marks sinking into the mud. Planned on camping all week but after the rain I decided to get a room in Sedalia for the night.
Studebaker Hawk, jcatel, FloridaRetired and 2 others Thank this. -
if anyone wants to follow @Long FLD progress, here is the TrailLink map on the Rails to Trails Conservancy website.

This is exciting stuff....but there again, I used to drive a cabover....
Doesn't take much to get me going....jcatel, Long FLD, FloridaRetired and 1 other person Thank this. -
Day 2. I rode from Sedalia to Rocheport. The service is terrible here so I can’t upload any pics. Had decent weather all day until late afternoon. I originally planned to camp at a “primitive” campground in a nature area but the radar helped me decide to stay at a bed and breakfast in town.
Studebaker Hawk and Big Road Skateboard Thank this. -
Studebaker Hawk Thanks this.

Are there plenty of these camping areas along the trail?
Last, keep enjoyin the ride -
The free camping options are few and far between. All these little towns survive off people riding the trail. Tomorrow night and Thursday night I plan to camp at campgrounds that have a shower house and stuff. Seems like $10 is the going rate for a tent spot.Big Road Skateboard, FloridaRetired and cuzzin it Thank this.
