“This year, International Roadcheck will have two focus areas– tractor protection systems and alcohol and controlled substance possession.“
Just curious if they’re actually planning to search our trucks for the “substance possession” part. I mean how else would they handle that part of it?
At minimum I suspect they will be climbing inside just to see if anything is in the open.
I already know that they will be checking the clearinghouse to make sure drivers aren’t prohibited.
Drug sniffing dogs?
Driver impairment tests?

I would think the drug sniffing dogs would be it unless they alert handler to something
Concorde Thanks this. -
Personally I’m old and wouldn’t deal with any invasive crap. Unfortunately there’s always some good paying freight during these events. -
I look forward toward these roadside inspections, however, they just keep waving me by. The last inspection my current truck had was the first quarter of 2020. Two months ago on a Saturday morning, CHP had a roadside inspection set up on 395 with 2 inspectors, no customers, they both looked at each other as I approached and I said to myself, today is the day I get inspected,……… nope…… they just waived me by. Oh well….. maybe someday.

I do this "Thing" with all the cops that I see.
Every time I wave as if they are my long lost friend.
I pass several almost daily, and have done this for years now.
Occasionally, randomly, I will not wave.
They wave.
Yep; it's working.Magoo1968, Concorde and hope not dumb twucker Thank this.
