Please oh "Lord" watch over these men while they are miles away from home,
Keep them safe in your eyes,
And guide them with your loving light,
Show them through the storms of your powers,
Through the darkest nights,
And even when there is no other car or truck in sight...
We plead with you,
the ones they leave behind,
bring them back safe to us,
Rain, sleet, snow or shine,
Life can be lonely apart for so long,
But with your mighty powers,
I know you will bring him home...
I watch as he drives far out of sight,
My heart aches for him,
For i know the lonely nights,
I long for his touch, his warmth,
His kiss...
Oh "Lord" please let him know,
How much he is missed...
With all the kids tucked into bed,
and all is asleep,
I lay in our bed and plead to the,
This man has a family,
Who needs him so,
Guide him on,
On to where he carries his load...
When he is lonely, scared,
Or far from home,
.... Oh "Lord" let him be...
Safe in your arms...
Oh..."Lord" i pray,
For this trucker I plead,
You show him the way home,
Safe to me...
