Now look here, trucker! Don’t start with me!
I know all you boys and just what you think you see!
I don’t need you handle or a tour of your truck.
And the only fill you’re getting is for your coffee cup!
I can hear them talkin’, struttin’ their stuff
Braggin’ an’ boastin’ an’ playin’ it rough
I’ve heard all their stories a few thousand times
An’ I know which of them are just straight lies.
So don’t call me honey, darlin’ or dear
You’re pushing your luck just with that stare
I’m a truck-stop waitress we’re bred to be tough
An’ I’ll sure let you know, when I’ve had enough!
I’ll pour your coffee and bring your food
when you’re done, clear the table up real good
maybe give you a smile, nod and a wink
but I’ll be gone before you can blink
Man, don’t tell it again! I’ve heard it before!
Heard that one too, don’t need too anymore.
So your cab’s got a sleeper for two, do I care?!?
Bet your wife’ll be pleased, when this she’ll hear!
So don’t call me honey, darlin’ or dear
You’re pushing your luck just with that stare
I’m a truck-stop waitress we’re bred to be tough
An’ I’ll sure let you know, when I’ve had enough!
So pick up that CB, tell it loud and clear
Turn down that trukin' music and come see this waitress here!
Pull up that ramp and slam em’ brakes
Caus’ this truck-stop waitress has got what it takes!
So don’t call me honey, darlin’ or dear
You’re pushing your luck just with that stare
I’m a truck-stop waitress we’re bred to be tough
An’ I’ll sure let you know, when I’ve had enough!
